Murakami x Britney Spears for POP Magazine

When Britney Spears posted up a photo on twitter of her and Takashi Murakami posing, fans could only wonder what they were up to. It turns out what they were working on was a photoshoot for POP magazine, quite an appropriate pairing for the princess of pop music and the king of pop art. Breaking records and defying conventions, the musician-cum-entrepreneur has quickly garnered over 261,000 fans on her Facebook page, swept 4 major awards at the recent 17th Anugerah Industri Musik, performing at numerous sold-out concerts and set up her very own clothing store called IAMJETFUELshop. Danial Radzmi speaks to the ever so adorably dorky Yuna about her struggles, hopes and her much anticipated debut album Decorate.

And it doesn’t matter if the person is an avid fashion blogger or Valentino Garavani. The adjustment needed is in the form of liberation, the lack thereof and the way the fashion world (or fashion individual) works about it.

Melody of the Malaysian Masses

By Liyana Fizi

Strapping the seatbelt on, I have a habit of surfing radio stations while driving. Sitting in traffic on one sunny afternoon, I flipped through the channels and got exasperated when I listened to three different stations simultaneously playing Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”. I gave up, turned on and tuned into my trusty iPod instead.
